Numerous officers fill a posh office somewhere in a highly secured zone. Flashes from the cameras create a brilliant haze of yellow as the President entered the room. He sits in front of the desk and is handed the document of concern by his secretary. Scanning through the terms he puts his pen to paper. The first scribble, and next the plan is mastered. The second, the operation carried out. And with the third, hundreds of helpless cries from some place far beyond.
That ‘somewhere’ is far beyond from the wandering districts of the President’s mind.
One act carried out for the benefit of a side often leads to decimation of the other.
A boy, who just reached home, will not find it the same anymore. Humans are servile to time and emotions. And the boy will succumb to his. He will keep on fuelling his hatred by asking himself numerous dead-ended questions, ‘What had he done to deserve this?’ ‘Why him?’ ‘Did he have a choice?’
All these will be imprinted inside the boy’s conscience. And a slight relevance to these will arouse aggressive elements. The boy’s future is no doubt destroyed but he will in-turn exacerbate others too.
And then a huge never-ending cycle comes to life, amalgamating previous hatred.
Everything in this world is relative. Whatever we see today is an offshoot of an event from the past. It is human nature that we look to establish balance in our lives. Whenever there is a slight disturbance, instinctively we will look to maintain order.
It will be irrational to blame one particular element for the disturbance. We have to accept the fact that, ‘Yes. Someone made the mistake in the past, but it is our duty to correct it. We can break the chain.’
Breaking the chain will be an approach to establish balance in our lives. We have to learn to tolerate. We must not let some old discrepancy hinder our path.
For we must remember everything is relative and one small scribble on a piece of paper can change the course of the tide.
